Underground Natural Gas & Propane
The Route Matters as Much as the Pipe
Underground gas work requires planning before the trench is closed. The tank or utility location, building entry, pipe demand, depth, transitions, separation from other utilities, tracer wire, sleeves, soil conditions, and inspection responsibilities should all be defined.
Safety & Compliance
Gas Work Is Not a Guessing Game
Final requirements depend on the fuel system, equipment, jurisdiction, utility or propane provider, permitted scope, and existing conditions.
Correct Materials
Use piping, fittings, transitions, protection, and connectors approved for the fuel, location, and installation method.
System Sizing
Added equipment may require review of connected demand, pipe size, pressure, distance, and regulator capacity.
Accessible Shutoffs
Appliances and equipment require appropriate shutoff arrangements, connections, and sediment protection where applicable.
Testing
New or modified systems may require isolation, pressure testing, inspection, and provider coordination before operation.
Combustion & Venting
A complete installation may depend on ventilation, combustion air, venting, clearances, and manufacturer requirements.
Defined Scope
Permits, inspections, trenching, restoration, equipment startup, and provider responsibilities should be stated clearly.
What to Expect
A Practical Gas-Line Review Process

Share the property, fuel type, equipment, symptoms, project plans, and available photos.
Review the Site
Evaluate accessible piping, route, demand, equipment, conditions, and required coordination.
Define the Scope
Clarify proposed work, testing, permits, excavation, restoration, and work by others.
Install & Test
Complete authorized work and the required testing or inspection steps for the scope.
Gas Line Questions
Before Requesting Gas Piping Service
Do you work on both natural gas and propane?
Yes, for selected projects. The fuel source, pressure, regulator configuration, connected demand, and provider requirements must be identified.
Can you install an underground propane line?
Yes, depending on location, scope, access, route, trench conditions, equipment demand, materials, and inspection responsibilities.
Can I add another gas appliance?
Possibly. The existing system should be reviewed to determine whether the source, regulator, piping, route, and connected demand can support the proposed appliance.
Do you offer emergency gas-leak response?
Oasis does not currently provide 24/7 emergency service. Suspected gas leaks require immediate safety action through the gas utility, propane provider, fire department, or emergency services.
