Water Treatment Questions
Useful Information Before Scheduling
Will a softener make my water safe to drink?
A softener is designed primarily to reduce hardness; it is not a universal purifier. Drinking-water safety or contaminant concerns require appropriate testing and treatment selected for the specific issue.
Does reverse osmosis treat the whole house?
Most residential RO systems are point-of-use systems serving a dedicated faucet and sometimes a refrigerator. Whole-property treatment requires a different design.
Can you use my existing softener loop?
Often, but the loop, shutoffs, drain, power, pipe size, configuration, and system condition should be evaluated before replacement.
Can treatment equipment eliminate all scale, taste, odor, or contaminants?
No single system treats every concern. Performance depends on source water, testing, equipment design, certification, capacity, installation, operation, and maintenance.
